Improvement in Overall Plant Effectiveness in a Process Plant
Case Studies » (May 18, 2020) ![]() This project is concerned with increase in Overall Plant Effectiveness (OPE) of equipment of Solid Poly Vinyl Acetate (SPVA) plant, which will result in enhancement of production capacity. Such increase has been effected by improving OPE in major equipment in SPVA plant – reactors, ATFE, Pastilizer Rotoformer & GALA. For such an increase several tools under Lean Six Sigma Methodology have been made use of. Some of the tools are as follows: • Quality Function Deployment (QFD) • Online system of OPE monitoring • Loss Cost Matrix preparation • Variance Analysis-Budget & Actual Production The project started on May 2011 & the OPE of equipment has increased to the desired level by November 2011 Click here to view full content |
