Quality Council of India jointly with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised the 9th Regional Quality Conclave (RQC) on Quality Enablers for Manufacturing Competitiveness & Trade on 8th November 2019 , Hotel Crown Plaza, Ahmedabad.
The conclave witnessed presentation and discussions on enablers for competitiveness and quality in manufacturing, Accreditation & Certification for Assuring Quality & Facilitating Trade and measures for achieving manufacturing Excellence.
Having emerged as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, India is transforming its manufacturing sector with a clear objective to become a global leader in the foreseeable future. It is expected to become the world’s youngest country by 2020 and stands a strong chance to utilise its demographic dividend. To absorb much of this labour force, India plans to create millions of jobs by focusing primarily on manufacturing. It is evident that this sector creates immense opportunities across values chain and it has a multiplier effect on job creation. The Regional Quality Conclave (RQC) aims to act as a catalyst for policy responses and adoption of best practices by manufacturers.
The Conclave received 150 plus participants from top organizations, mainly from Gujrat region.
