Focus on smart manufacturing has become an absolute necessity in today’s globalised world to survive for any company. Smart manufacturing is a powerful disruptive force with the potential to restructure the current competitive landscape and produce a new set of market leaders. Companies that are slow in adopting new technologies and processes run the risk of being left behind. A factory is truly smart when all machineries and equipments can improve processes through automation and self-optimization. The benefits also extend beyond the production of goods, planning, maintenance, supply chain logistics, product design development etc.
