    In order to encourage Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Field Collection Practices (GFCP) in medicinal plants and enhance quality and safety of these plants, the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), in collaboration with the Quality Council of India (QCI), has launched a Voluntary Certification Scheme for Medicinal Plant Produce (VCSMPP) as follows:

  • Quality Council of India, with support from the National Medicinal Plants Board, is conducting the capacity development of farmers and collectors on Voluntary Certification Scheme for Medicinal Plant Produce.

    We invite stakeholders engaged in cultivation and collection of medicinal plants to participate in this programme. Stakeholders who have medicinal plants clusters desiring certification may approach QCI on first-come first-serve basis.
